3/30/03 the small block is out finally, and the real work has begun.

this is the modified k-frame that will hold the new front suspension. the center has been cut out and reworked and all the stock mounts have been removed. this should provide plenty of clearance for the big block oiling system.

this is a pic of the tubelar strut rod assembly. this uses a spherical rod end instead of a bushing for smoother operation.

let there be turbo!! this is a garrett based t4 60-1. it has a .96 a/r on the (exhaust) side, and .70 a/r on the (intake) side.i will probably be pushing this thing to the max and have to get something bigger, but i will determine that after the car is tested at the track.

making room for the big block. i have discarded the inner fenders, stripped the 4 layers of paint and added strut supports (firewall to frame) that will later tie into the roll cage.

the dummy block was set in the car for mocking all the components up---headers, clutch linkage, motor mounts, etc. also, as you can see, i elected to remove the fenderwells as to promote more room to work on the bigblock and sqweeze all that new plumbing for the turbo in there.
