Now for the JEEP stuff...
I bought this Jeep from a junkyard with 274,000 miles on it and they were running it in the junkyard as a parts retrieval vehicle.....The paint was badly oxidized, the windshield was cracked, there was that God awful window tint (you know the kind that turns purple with age) on all the windows (including the windshield), The headliner hung down into your face. The Jeep (once I figured out it had very little to no oil in the crankcase) smoked like a chimney, and would only start occasionally. The transmission slipped more than an four legged feline with wooden shoes walking on an iced over pond. I think every one knows what badly oxidized paint looks like on a Jeep so I won't post a lot of "Before Pictures" Just representative samples of what it looked like after I got the dirt out and before I started transforming her. I must repeat these 1st 3 pictures are representative samples of how sucky my jeep looked before the work, not actual pictures of mine before the transformation. Pictures 1 and 3 I don't know where I got them from. The sucky looking jeep in picture 2 belongs to Xexyz who also has a page on cardomain. He got pissed that I used his as an example and left me a note so I signed his guest book and let him know I am referencing him...No hard feelings buddy ;-)) check his page out and rate it at
It is a work in progress so bear with me trying to remember all of What Ive done to it......but first and foremost The entire drive train had to go. I got a low mileage engine and trans from the local auto recyclers to start off. I also got new shocks, a heavy duty 3 coil radiator, rotors, brakes, hoses, electrical's.....etc. When I use this thing to tow my boat I want it to be reliable. After I got her running great the next move was to make this baby appealing. Thanks to my brother-4-hire (Geno) for the drive train install and the paintwork. I opted for Radiant Fire Red to bring the paint up to current. The feet were fitted with Chrome/Alloy Niche Jet Gear wheels and Michelin 225/70 LT4's to give it that right stance.
Another subtlety that graces this vehicle were the addition of Diamond Cut Projector Beam style headlights with Xenon Type H4 bulbs (if you look closely you can see the blue tinge the light has. These also incorporate park/running lights that give the vehicle an ominous look in parking lots at night (I'll try to get a shot of that).
Some people have been hitting me up asking what all I've done to this point, so this is the list of what I can remember right now....If I remember more I'll edit the post....
