Kramedogg's 1979 Chevrolet El Camino

Here is my 1979 El Camino that I bought November '02. It has a swapped in 350ci V8, with a Quadra-Jet carb. The exhaust is stock, except for a Cherry Bomb Muffler.

Here is the front. The guy I bought it from was probibly a VIP at JC Whitney. It took me all day too take all the cheap plastic crap off the car. The black things on the hood didn't look too bad, so I left them on.

From the left side you can see the rust and Bondo spots. I'll be getting a new front quarter pannel for this side, and touching up the primer spots.

A look at the right side. Some more primer and Bondo that can easily be fixed.

The rear. It's in pretty good condition back here.

I have a suggestion for under your hood, it might be a little expensive but is well worth it. Add a Holley 144 series powercharger, just make sure that the engine has a compression ration of 8 to 1. You should look at my 1978 El Camino.

Hello again. Thank you for the information, I left you an email with some more questions. Hope i'm not bugging you too much! I just think the K&N makes the engine compartment look 100% better. Thanks, ~ELKY77

Hey, yes I have a question about the engine compartment. I have a 77 El Camino (check it out) and I have a similar air cleaner as your stock air cleaner. Well, As you did, I have some tubes that connect to the top "cap" thing, and a hose that connected to the side of the air filter housing. I would like to get a K&N for looks and of course performance, but I was wondering what you did with those couple little tubes that were connected to the air filter housing, and what are they for? And did you just remove them, or plug off where they went. If you could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it, because I am a little stuck here! Thanks a lot! ~ELKY77
