I purchased fiberglas pieces for my 82. I have not installed them yet. It seems to me that they would hold up better than the rubber extensions. I bought mine off of ebay.

Love your Mirada. I have a 1983 Mirada and love it too. It is soon to be restored. It was my second car and I kept it even after getting a new car 20 years ago.

Like your ride. Seeing your picture took me back over 20 years when I bought my 81 Mirada & a short time later 2 of my buddys each got them one. One was black like yours. Almost 25 years later I still have mine but theirs have fell to the grave long long time ago. I seen your picture with the busted rear filler pannel, those are one big problem with the mirada. They last for about 10 years or so then start to break up. I replaced the original ones in the early 90"s and looking for another set now. Did you have any luck on locating a set, please let me know. Thanks
