I'm Curtis and this is my long time project 1992 Honda Prelude SR. I originally bought it in June of '04. Judging by the cars condition, mechanically sound but some visual rough spots, the cars primary use was just getting to and from work in the city. The previous owner was my old neighbour's daughter. So at least I knew it was in good upkeep becuase the neighbour is a mechanic at After Hours Mechanic in Orangeville, Ontario at 519-941-3000. Contact Al for the best Honda mechanic in Ontario.
Originally it was white with some minor rust in the usual Honda spots (in the wheel well area). The interior was blue and was overall clean, but in some spots material was pealing away from the plastic. Mechanically the car's suspension was in need of some repairs, the engine was on it's last legs, and quite a few exhaust problems existed.

The car sat for around 6 months after I bought it before I could really get started having fun with it. In the winter of '04-'05 I slowly went about adding the body kit from www.bodykit.ca, cleaning the hell out of stuff, tinting the windows at Tint King at 905-896-0100 or www.tintking.com, body work, and fixing as many of the minor problems as I could.
The car then sat again for the summer of '05 before I resumed agian in the fall of '05. First the stock 2.3 DOHC was replaced with a 2.2 DOHC VTEC (H22), then the exhaust system was nearly all replaced including a cold air intake, Ractive Exhaust. The brake's were done all the way around and most other problems fixed. All mechanical work done by CAN-SAF Auto in Oshawa, Ontario, contact Ivan at 905-433-1661 or check out www.can-saf.com

Finally it was in driving condition the winter of '05-'06 and I then moved on to cleaning the hell out of the engine compartment with some help from the Lubinator, contact 519-925-2230 and adding blue Street Glow wire covers, contact Lou (smartest stereo/electronics guy I've ever met) at Sounder Light in Orangeville, Ontario, 519-942-2410.
I then added a Ceramic coated blue valve cover, available through Keystone Powder Coating at 724-545-1321 or visit www.keystonepowdercoating.com

For my birthday I went out and bought some Fastco 17" white Tango rims, with Falkon ZE512 215/40R17 rubbers fitted to them from Dave Gunn at Performance Improvements in Oshawa at 905-725-3533, or check out www.performanceimprovements.com or www.fastco.ca

In late spring '06 it was off to the body shop to mold in the side skirts, block off the licence plate hole and prep for paint. Body work done at Parkers in Orangeville, contact Barry Parker at 519-941-6393

The car was then painted the Blue used on the 2002 Subaru Impreza (CODE 02C). The rims, spoiler, and grills beside the headlights are white. All work was done again by Parkers. Below is the nearly complete product in the summer of '06 I still have to add grills to the body kit, but that will be following the paint touch-ups.

The headlights were changed to one piece headlights, as well the altezza tail lights were changed because the old ones were getting dirty. I also changed the stock headers to a new set of DC Sports Headers.

I painted the calipers all the way around, and switched the rotors to drilled/slotted roters all the way around. The break pads were also swithched to ceramic to minimize dust on the white rims.

The summer of '07 I have taken it back to Parkers Auto Body for touch-ups on the paint and to fix the wheel wells, as well as fix a couple spots where idiots have been careless with there car doors.

Crack in the kit fixed on front driver side, partially visible above in the night shot of the rim.

The sunroof area was cleaned up and some surface rust ground out and the area painted white

Both rear wheel wells were cleaned up and repainted, both turned out great and look clean and smooth compaired to before.

The engine was again cleaned up and rust proofing applyed to the inside of the body by Lubinator, contact 519-925-2230 for excellent cleaning. The blue cold air intake was also installed.

This is the completed exterior Prelude as of August '07. All that remains to be done is the wire grills added to various parts of the body kit.

Now that the visual master piece is nearly complete it is time to move on to adding performance parts to see if I can make this little Honda ZOOM!!!
This year as well as doing some work on the suspension, I have also added a Fidanza 8 pound fly wheel as well as a Exedy Stage 2 Racing Clutch.
