One of a kind, I like to call it the CJ-15.
Take a CJ-5 and a S-15 and put them together.
never done before.
Again i decided to take on another project =]
Here is the project i started, i have a 1974 jeep that i bought for $800. Wow what a mess.
Here is the 1987 S-15 i got screwed by. $1500. had a 2.8l v6, now when completed it will have the 304 out of the jeep, 3-speed 4 wheel drive.
I am begining to take the body off the truck to put on the jeep.
motor out of the truck 2.8l, very whimpy
Here i have taken the body off the jeep and it went straight to the scrap yard. It was trashed as you seen.
here i am welding the rear frame from the s15 the the front frame of the jeep. I couldnt use the independent suspension from the s15 i need the straight axle from the jeep
See the two frames, welded together extremely well, also welded the rear of the jeep frame to the truck frame to insure extra strength.
Its ready to be welded
Its welded together
Everything messured out great from front to rear axles
i put the rear end of the jeep under the springs to give it a 4" suspension lift, also going to do it to the front.
I am also going to give it a 2 1/2" body lift too.
Unfortunetly i had to cut some of the fire wall out, its really not as bad as it looks.
This is after i slid the engine forward 8 inches too.
Id like to put "Big Bird" across the tailgate, seems like a good name.
I also painted a set of wagon rims yellow to match the truck, along with the roll bar that i took out of the jeep, fits pretty good.
Its coming along great, just need to get driveshafts made, then it will be ready for mudd.
Eventually i will like to drive it on the road, but i have a few other things i need to do before that ever happens, if it happens anyways.
Looking for 33" tires to 38" tires if you know anybody
More pics soon to come.
