This is my Install Page
AFTERBURNER HEADERS:387-49100
This is what the drivers side looks like with the Afterburners installed. This side is very easy. Some have had issues with bending the ABS lines outta the way. I did no such thing! Plenty of room. I used the STAGE 8 locking header bolts available at Smmitracing.com or Jegs. They are like $34 or somehthing. I also used Mr.Gasket O-ring Copperseal Gaskets. Good deal and no leaking. I did use the bolts supplied with the Afterburners for the drivers side and just didn't have the heart to take em back off for the stage 8's. One very IMPORTANT issue is the wires! You have to either wrap the wires like I did or run them over the valve covers. I initially had MSD 8.5's and thought they were enough, well I was wrong. They dried out and cracked. I now know better. I hope you learn from my mistakes then that mod money can be better spent elsewhere.

This is a pic of the passenger side. This side takes time. Easier if Alternator and brackets are out, and the coolant sensor which scratches the high temp coating. It's really better to also remove the Air Conditioning lines, but they can also be bent outta the way "Very careful not to bent too far cause they can rupture or break" then it's a smokeshow! An added saftey measure is taking some fuel hose that's thick or something just as durable and placing it against the sharp control arm assembly at the wheelwell. I used zip ties and it holds good. Wish to god I had done this in the beginning then I wouldn't have lost a $80 A/C hose. To date I have not broken a hose by bending it too much. Just use common sense when bending. I planned a future mod of having a custom A/C Hose by using Aeroquip hose. I just don't have the funds now or it would be in there already. I put it all together and deleted all of the Alternator brackets and guess what? No issues. I now can take the passenger header off within 30 minutes!

This is a pic of the stock cats back on the car. I got my friend to weld em back on, this happended 6/03
The stock cats can fit with the Afterburners and any Cat-back. It just takes some modifying. It will be a lot more roomier with bullet style cats though.

A closer pic of the driver and passenger cats.

A pic of the drivers side o2 welded in. My man had to cut the Afterburner, use a smaller pipe that matched the cat and fill in the rest. This is totally custom. Now, I hope I don't have to do a tranny change anytime soon.

This is the first pic showing just how much room I had on the drivers side when my exhaust man was gonna throw some extension pipe on to the dynomax cat-back I had. The socond one is on the passenger side with the pipe on there. Straight duals with no cats was an AWESOME SOUND! I'm gonna miss it.

This is another mod done at the same time . Yes, the stock cats being cut down for the car. When I have the money I'll get some high flows.

New pic 6/3/04 of my routing one a/c line through the header tubes.
