here we have my old dream, drifting.

drifting is cool and all but it is not fro me. too many crashes for this poor kid! (i hit a fucking curb already and fucked my frame... lesson learned!) as you might have noticed this is totally photoshop. obviously with the initial d and floating me in the corner.

here is how she looked when i bought it. engine only had cone air intake and motegi racing rims. i payed $5500 and i overpayed hella. the front end was worn out, exposed metal was rusty from salt air from the peugeout sound in washington (where it comes from). and the tires were pretty used. oh ya second gears synchros were worn out. oh and dont forget the sweat exhaust leak! or is it an engine knock? i just dont know... oh i almost forgot! the ebrake is broken too! almost forgot that!

the interior and engine bay. stock stock stockity stock. Engine is the original 5S-FE. out of the factory pushes 135HP and 145 Lbs torque red lines at 6250. but with its 173XXX miles... no way in hell. its 0-60 was an honest 9.95 and topped out at 105MPH. the car has no ABS and non power steering. this car was almost as baisic as it got. only features it had were the t-tops and air conditioning. which awesomely enough the A/C doesnt work. also the title was clear but close inspection revealed front end damage to the bumper and both water and A/C radiators. doesnt seem much like a jewel right? well for a 16 year old with a dream it was WAY more than enough. 100 times as unique and cool as a retarded honda civic or something. FFs are the way to failure! RWD is key! (but AWD is king...)

here are some more pictures of the jewel.

Nice MR2. Stay away from those crazy 3 cylinder cars man. I'll take decent performance over fuel efficiancy any day. 5*'s for the toyo though. Check out my 89 Prelude and tell me what you think. Thanks in advance and good luck with your ride!

well there is a lot of factors to younot winning against a mazda speed. if it had been up against just my miata you'd've probably ended up ok. You have about 200lbs less than my miata. the mazda speed has a turbo in it stock, and puts out around 180bhp or so. which is some 40bhp more than regular. I can understand losing serious races though. It's annoying. I hope to get a turbo kit for my miata someday, but again with the miata. I hope that you can get some performance stuff on your mr2 in the future. they make amazing track cars because of a real agile layout with the mr placed engine. I never did autoX, but that's cause it's on sunday and i'm one of those religious guys. though i heard miatas smoke in autoX.

haha. nice mr2. i like your first little photoshopped pic. Good luck with the drift project. it's way fun. It's kinda hard in the mr2 though, i bet, with the oversteer tendencies it has. I have the same problem with my miata because of it's short wheel base. well, have fun trying to get sideways. come check out my low budget project too.
