FINALLY INSTALLED
Well here it is, installed under the rear seat. It really pounds hard. There is a 1 farad cap under the amp rack along with the MB Quart crossovers. The color mismatch in the pictures is not as dramatic in real life. My digital camera does strange things with colors when using the flash.
Looking through the door, seat up, making for easy access when tweaking the system. I can still get at the jack if needed.
Pictured below: How the boxes fit against the floor.
Amp rack with all the wiring concealed underneath, including a 1 farad cap and crossovers. Making the piece that fits across the hump was done by making a cardboard template for the pattern.
Seat in locked down position. Everything fits very snug.
MB Quarts in Q Logic kick panels.
Deck installed in lower pocket of console. This system runs totally independent of the factory system. The MB Quart mids and tweets are installed in Q Logic kick panels. I didn't want to have to screw around with adaptors to get around the On Star stuff. So basically I have 2 stereo systems in my truck, the factory one with On Star and my own system.
My next thing to do, is chase down all the rattles inside the truck. I also have a Pioneer 12 disc changer that I would like to install somewhere but finding room for it is going to be a problem.
