Well it finally happened at 305K, I believe I blew a head gasket but I'm not sure. It overheated and water levels were fine and radiator cap cool 2 touch (maybe thermostat stuck its been in the teens for over a week), next day overheated this time no fluids or heat from heater, no pools of antifreeze - parked it. Filled fluiddrove about 12 miles heat from heater temp gauge barely moving Great! Park the car, now it won't restart. Checked radiator fluid empty, checked oil for water dip stick indicates overfill but no bubbles indicating water. Water went somewhere right? Checked the hoses while running and water was hot and running through, checked all three plugs they r fine. Timing belt replaced 4 the 2nd time 260k. As I live in the mountains did notice loss of power (3rd gear pull the hills) but fine on the flats. So have I diagnosed correctly: blown head gasket? If so any suggestions best prduct to replace with and what will I need.

That is pimp! I'm looking for something like that myself. Gotta love those hatch backs! 5 stars. I'm amazed at how well you have kept it up!
