TABS UPDATES PAGE:
Please refer to the following for updates after May 2006 to present : Link text
20th May 2006 - Japfest 2006 @ Castlecombe.

Previous update: 14th May 2006 - Redline Rumble 2006 @ Santa Pod Raceway.

Previous Update: 6th May 2006 - More Bling Bling - IL Motorsport HT Lead Cover and Carbon Cannister Cover!

Previous Update 15th April 2006 - custom made T304 stainless steel 2.5" downpipe fitted!
After getting the tuning done I was on a mission to hit full boost (10psi) alot quicker and reduce the lag. As a result a custom made 2.5" d/p has been made and fitted by www.MX5MAD.com. My car is the first in the UK to have one from them and I must say I am very impressed. The exhaust sound is not much louder than it was with the stock Greddy d/p but spool is allot quicker and there is a noticeable BHP gain.
Heres the pics:

Here you can see a comparison between the stock Greddy d/p and new 2.5" diameter downpipe!

Its a 2 piece mandrel bent d/p for ease of fitting and does not require the turbo and manifold to be removed unlike the RACING MAZDA d/p

8th April 2006 - Just a spring photoshoot!

26th March 2006 - The Fast Show 2006 @ Santa Pod Raceway.

24th March 2006 - JTUNER APRIL 2006 Issue 5 - Page Feature.
Well what can I say. I am very proud again and look forward to the shows this year. Its all about maintaining being at the top and this is exactly where my Roadster Turbo is...at the top of its game!

25th February 2006 - Boxhill Jap Meet 2006:

5th February 2006 - New Decals courtesy of www.skewer.co.uk
Heavily influenced by the Jada Toys Import Racer toy car series.
The new decals give the car a more aggressive look and now it is ready for the shows in 2006.

Previous Update - 30th January 2006 - JTUNER Feature Spyshots!

28th January 2006 - Decals removed and car has been 'mopped' to rejunvenate the paint.
Looks like it just came out the bodyshop!

Coming soon...New Jada Toys Import Racer style decals and a new BIG achievement!
Previous Update: 26th January 2006 - Emanage fitted, 1.8 injectors Fitted and Rolling road tuning and dyno:
Well I set of earley and reached REWORX where I was greeted by a friendly and professional bunch.
They got the car on the dyno and it made 153hp and 142 llb torque at 5 psi cus of the pressure drop when the I/C was fitted.
At 6psi it would've been 160...so that is spot on.
Then the emanage and 1.8 injectors were fitted.
Then she was dataloggoed and tuned.
In all she must have had around 12-15 dyno runs.
Now the dissapointment is that she hit 203 hp and 196llb of torque but detonated and smoke poured out the back.
I wanted to keep it at this setting and Reworx highly recommended I don't unless I want a new engine.
As a safety measure we decided on a safer setting of 182hp and 180llb torque @ 10psi.
On the way home the car felt completely transformed and so quick it scared me shitless. I also got approx 200km from just over a 1/4 of a tank and theres bags and bags of torque!

Previous update - 17th January 2006 Intercooler fitted with added Bling and Blue silicone hoses!
All I can say is this has been the most difficult mod to do to the car! The kit is crap and needed to be heavily modded.
The saab 900 intercooler has been fitted with steel brackets using the same mounitng points as the air con rad which has been removed along with the aircon!
I am very happy cus it looks good and now it is time to turn the boost up once the emanage i have sitting in my room is fitted along with the 1.8 injectors I have!
Anyway heres the pics:

In this pic below you can just make out the saab 900 intercooler.

Daytime pics: mmmm....shiny!!!

Previous update: Intercoolers arrived.
Its missing the 180 degree bend from the turbo and the 90 degree bend after that. Should not be too hard to locate.

UPDATES:
- Custom 10" Fibreglassed Sub Box for the passenger Footwell.
- Custom Graphics and Toyota celica 190 pics.
- Meshed Wings West Front Bumper and New Dual Exit Exhaust.
- Streetglow Blue under Car Neons.
- New Black Vinyl Hood and dark Smoke Window Tints.
- Flame graphics.
- Powerflow full custom Exhaust with twin 5" tailpipes.
- New 17" Lenso Shu's.
PREVIOUS UPDATE - NEW ICE INSTALL INCLUDING CUSTOM 10" SUBWOOFER BOX IN THE PASSENGER FOOTWELL.
Here is my Custom sub Box with a 10" DVC Sub. Yes thats right...a 10".

The sub box was constructed by a local ICE dealer and is made of MDF and fibreglass.
There is a work in progress on PAGE 6.
I decided to go for a 10" sub as I had seen other Roadsters/Miatas with 8" subs but felt that just would not cut it.
I can proudly say the bass response has exceeded my expectations.
It is very very loud, but the bass is tight and crisp and 'drops' like a 12" sub.
I was concerned that the sub would not perform as the box is tiny and I had'nt seen others attempt the passenger footwell sub box with a 10" sub.
Careful planning and choice of items has made this possible.

The sub box itself was made of MDF and Fibreglass and is very strong. Inside the box is filled with DAKRON which is a cotton wool like substance which fools the sub into thinking the box is bigger than it actually is.
The sub chosen was a Directed Audio 'STUDIO' Dual Voice Coil Sub rated at 500watts RMS. This sub is renowned for big sound in a very small box.

The amp chosen to power the sub is a Genesis profile Sub Amp. It is tiny, has a built in fan and is rated at 700 watts RMS at 1ohm. Allot of people are using this relatively new brand in the UK as it is an excellent performer.
It also has a convenient in-car bass controller mounted in the blanking blate. You can just make it out in the picture below to the bottom right.

As a result the 10" Directed Audio Sub has approx 550watts RMS going through at 2ohm.

I have also binned my old Pioneer CD player and replaced it With a Alpine TDA-7592 R H/U and 6 disc changer.
This is a top of the range Alpine unit and has many many features including BBE, Bass Engine, 4 x 60 watt internal amp. The best has to be the fact its got three 4V pre-outs, which has really helped boost the signal to the amp.
I have still got more to do with regards to ICE including door builds, Optima battery, a 1.0 Farad Power cap and another amp to run my Pioneer Door speakers and Pioneer Headrest speakers.
PREVIOUS UPDATE - CUSTOM GRAPHICS AND MY FUTURE CAR - TOYOTA CELICA 190!
Got some more custom graphics made up courtesy of SKEWER.CO.UK for that personalised touch.
I am a big fan of the Honda TYPE R series so this was the inspiration of my Roadste R graphics!!

Also, here are pics of my future car. It is a Celica 190 with count 'em 190 hp, Full Wingswest Kit and custom graphics, 18' Lenso Shu's, Spax coilovers, AEM induction, Custom freeflow exhaust and a full ICE install.
It is absolutely stunning and turns heads everywhere it goes!!

PREVIOUS UPDATE - MESH GRILL, MORE GRAPHICS AND NEW TAILPIPES!
Have never got round to meshing my Wings West front bumper, but now I have it looks wonderful.

Also added some subtle Mazdaspeed graphics.

Finally, have changed my tailpipes for my custom dual exit exhaust from 5" Jap style slash cut to Carbon fibre 4"!
I think they look a helluva lot better and u can actually SEE THEM now!!
PREVIOUS UPDATE - NEONS BABY!!!
I have been attending a few shows and JAPUK meets lately and as a result have had some neons installed to make the 5 stand out even more.
They are blue 'streetglow' neons aka 2fast2furious!!

PREVIOUS UPDATE - PRE-CAR SHOW PICS AND MY MATES CELICA!!
Here are some pics of my Roadster and my mates WingsWest Kitted Celica just before we left to go to a car show.
One word describes them...BLING'IN!!

PREVIOUS UPDATE - New Hood & Window Tints!!!

Got a brand new black hood. I am very pleased with the quality of the new hood and the fresh new look it gives the car!!

Also, because of the freak hot weather we are having here in blightly, I got some dark smoke window tints which help reduce heat in the cabin and give the car a real GANGSTA look!

PREVIOUS UPDATE - Graphics!!!

Got some 'subtle' graphics at a car show and I think they look fab! My 5 is a mariner blue so the colour choice of the graphics was crucial. In the end I decided on dark blue/purple 'flip' graphics. When I say 'flip' I mean they
flip colour when the suns rays hit 'em! MAD!?!?

I chose to go for a 'flame' style and think they really suit the 5.

PREVIOUS UPDATE - Powerflow Exhaust and "Exterior cosmetics"
Got a full powerflow exhaust over the weekend with de-cat pipe and dual 4.5" outlets.
The sound is awesome across all rev ranges(if you like a deep burble and to turn heads) and there is a nice burble at tickover!

Also I have chrome plated my front orange reflectors..the results are below:

PREVIOUS UPDATE: NEW RIMS & REAR SOILER ADVICE!?!
I was getting bored of my League (Konig) 17's, so I replaced them with the absolutely drool-worthy LENSO SHU's

They give the Roadster a real street racer 'look' with their split rim design and polished lip.
