caminokid's 1977 Chevrolet El Camino This is what happens when you have a friend that tells you that something cant be done! This 77 El Camino Classic had just a different rust problem than the rest of them. It had rusted from the doors forward. I had a 77 Cutlass Supreme and the doors and doghouse was good. A friend of mine bet me $50.00 that I couldnt put them on my Camino...well I proved him wrong! I also had used the dash, winsheild, steering column, wireing, carpet, bucket seats, and console out of the Cutlass. The motor and trans was also Olds. It came out of a 79 Trans Am...403 and 400 turbo all tricked out. A friend of mine had the T/A and had totalled it. I had used the rearend pig, gears and pinion. The Camino had a Pioneer system in it. I still have the wheels, steering wheel and the speakers.
