I have a car that most people don't even know exists... It's a 1989 Subaru XT6 Fulltime 4-wheel drive... It's got a 2.7 Liter Flat 6 (horizontally opposed...aka Boxer) that stock makes 145HP and 156ft-lbs of torque. It was the world's first production car to ever have a liquid-cooled flat six. It's got 4-wheel disc brakes that bring it to a halt as quick as a Porche from its era and for several years this car was THE most aerodynamic production car IN THE WORLD with a drag coefficient still competetive with Vettes and Porches at 0.29.

She's got a Magnaflow freeflow 2 1/4 inch exhaust from the first cat and a custom (in every sense of the word) intake. The top speed listed to the left of 140 is NOT strung out. Without a little more power I can't reach the end of the tach in 4th. (Automatic tranny with a vaccum switched resistor to make it shift at full line pressure after about 1/2 throttle) At 6.5 grand (redline) it would mathematically do around 186 (hopefully soon, but probably never). This will require more power, but not bad for a Subaru from 1989.

Got it lowered! Tell me what you think! :)

My rear differential!!! :)

My dream is to get another car and build on this one. I want a T3/T4 hybrid pushing about 12 lbs of boost on 7.5:1 pistons. This would be bolted to a 5-spd with 3.80 front and rear differentials. Titanium valvetrain would help the revs along without valve float, and some very radical cams would help move the powerband up to take advantage of the revs. Maybe one day...

I recently put different heads on her because the radiator blew out and cracked the heads numerous times, so while it was out I did a street application port and polish. Couldn't afford to do much more because the parts I had to get totalled to around $1500. All labor was done in the back yard. :)

I graduated in May '05 with an associate's degree in Automotive Systems Technology and I currently work as a Technician at Subaru.

I've got a decent stereo (JVC) with 800 Watts going to 2 10 inch Kicker CompVR's... Feel free to ask questions. Even if you can keep up with me on a straight, you'd better watch out in the curves. Come through NC and get a piece of me. If you beat my ass, it'll only push me to the mods quicker... ;) Feel free to e-mail me at macfreke@yahoo.com.

Here are some very much so custom white faced gauges that I had to make myself. I'm looking for someone to print them for me. If anyone would like to volunteer, let me know!
