RedLance's 1986 Subaru XTHere is Jezabelle in her current state. She is an 86 GL-10 model, 4x4, Turbo and an automatic, with 76,000 miles. So far she is stock except for the radio, which is a Pioneer Premeir AM/FM casset with 6 disc CD changer, and Pioneer 6.5 inch speakers in the deck and doors. I will probably add a 250watt amp and a 15 inch Pile Driver II. She also has wheels off of a different XT, an XT-6 I think. In this photo, I am just reinstalling the engine, after replacing the heads, which were cracked.

Hey nice Subie!! You should check out MySubie.com. It's a new Subaru social network w/ tools to help enthusiasts find parts, reviews, mods, pics, events, and more. Let me know what you think.

That's a nicer paint job than mine has. I have an '88 standard four cylinder I have been restoring. I'll put up a page after it gets its new paint job. I live in Colorado, and I can get any part for any xt out a part yard. I go once a week looking for a turbo to adapt onto mine, but no luck yet. Anyway, I play with these a lot, because they're really good cars. If you have any questions, or need a part, just ask. tecsilver6@gnaunited.com

They aren't xt6 wheels, they're factory option "Motion alloy wheels". At the time Subaru offered several different wheel options. Some include "rally alloy" (12 circular cutouts), "premier alloy" (8 rectangular cutouts), or the regular steel wheels.

Well, I'm not saying those are XT6 rims. I got them in the junkyard, and was told that they were off an XT, and I thought they looked like the wheels on the XT6 in the Subaru literature from 1988...I could be totally wrong though...

Dumbass? No.. a little mistaken on the XT history, maybe... however, I'm not convinced. I apologize if I'm wrong on the 4/5 lug setup, but those ARE NOT XT6 rims. Look at my car to see them. If I'm not horribly mistaken (look it up), no Subaru had 5 lug rims until the XT6. Not that it really matters much.
