Well, after a four year wait, I finally picked up my V8 Capro project a few weeks ago. It was part of a deceased estate which contained 2 Capris and a mountain of spare parts. The previous owner on this car built my Silver V6, but unfortunately passed away before they could complete this project.

Its a 1970 4cyl model which has been fitted with a 302 V8 Windsor and C4 auto. The body kit is unique (possibly Mk 1 Escort "bubble arches" blended into the Capri lines. The front guards, boot and bonnet are all fibre glass, so overall weight wouldn't be much more than a standard V6 GT.
This will be a dedicated track car, so I don't have to worry about engineering or registration. Even so, its had a chassis kit fitted for extra strength which also incorporates the engine and gearbox mounts.
This is my first ever V8 car, so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and learning something new.
