How's it going? Welcome to my page.
This is Hailey, my 1966 Mercury Comet Capri. I bought it from a guy who was selling it for his brother down on the eastern shore. Hot blue paint job, definitely not the original color. Minimal rust from what I can see. It is the 4 door version, you don't see those very much. I don't know much about it other than it has a 289 engine in it and it's going to need some work. It runs but it just needs a battery and a better carburetor. I plan on putting a 351 Windsor engine in this. The interior needs a lot of work and in the distant future I would like to get it sanded and re-painted the same color.

Here are some pictures of the 289 Engine, and the interior mess that follows. I believe that the interior is going to need the most work with this car. The panels and the locks need some work on the doors. The driver's side door can unlock and lock but only with the key. If I push the lock down and close the door, it pops back up. The passenger side door has a lock that doesn't function, so for now it has to be opened from the inside. Same with the back doors. Hopefully this will be easy to fix and won't be a problem.

The steering wheel with the "Comet" Logo. I probably need to replace the wheel as well because it is cracked on the right side. If you look in the lower right corner you can see it.

This is what it would look like if you were driving.

Interiors here we go. Front Bench seats need to be replaced. I'd like to replace them with other bench seats, but bucket seats may take their place instead so I can get closer to the steering wheel and the pedals.

The back seats really aren't that bad at all. They just feel like they are from 1966 if you know what I mean though. I'm not sure if I will replace these or not, they really aren't that bad. Well, better than the front seats, anyway.

Just more pictures of my baby...

This is probably the coolest picture I have ever taken in my life.
