My daily driver. I got it after my 1990 pickup was totaled by a blonde pulling in front of me one cold morning. The guy I got it from said it was in a minor wreck, and that the front sheetmetal was new. Well after pulling it apart, I can agree the sheetmetal is in fact so new that the stickers are still inside. After pulling the headliner and seeing the windshield frame, I can only guess that the "minor wreck" was actually more like a moose at 60MPH, that came in the windshield. I have fixed most of it now. The pics here show it with the wrong 1992 chevy grille and chrome bumper, that were on it when I bought it.
I have been at work inside and so far have color changed most of the trim to satin black. Custom headliner, visors, and side panels. Still to come are the door panels, carpet, and the bucket seats. Outside, I have the new correct GMC grille, and black smoothie bumper. I only need the front flares, and one replacement custom wheel to finish the visuals.
The system right now is mostly Sony. Four 4x6s in the corners and two 10s, one in a sealed box and one in a bandpass. Three amps for 1300 total RMS watts. It is too much to stand while inside the truck.
Finally have the correct grille and a factory smooth bumper on it! Now all I need are the fender extensions, filler panel, and flares to finish it right. I am looking to get a custom hood before next summer too. I also just got my replacement wheel and tire, but now that it is about to snow I wont put them on till next summer. NOTE: beware of American Racing wheels part numbers if you need to replace a wheel, they changed mine and it took 2 months to find the right wheel, after getting 2 wrong ones. The guys at my tire shop spent hours with the factory rep on the phone to figure out the part number errors. I also found out that they dont make wheels in America anymore, go figure.
Finaly got the wheels on it. They were on my pickup when it got totaled, and I had to replace one of them.
OK here are three shots I took at 9:00PM July 1st. Enjoy the evening sunshine from Alaska.
