So as for my sound system, I haven't really put much money or time into it yet. Right now I have a Kenwood eXcelon receiver, before I was running the stock one and I just got horrible feedback from the sub when I would roll down the window or open the door...it was really weird, but it disappeared when the kenwood went in.
And as for the rest of the system I have 600 watt Rockford Phosgate amp pushing a 12" P2 subwoofer. All in all I probablly spent about 450-500 bucks on the whole system. Second hand, and not perfect, but it works great! I guess it pays to know the right people. I also cleaned up the piece around the speaker, and painted it to match the interior/exterior.
Eventually I am going to work on building a custom enclosure for the sub.
