The Interior:

polygon1990's 1990 Chrysler LeBaron

There are a ton of things planned in here. First off, I plan to have some more pictures of the inside soon. I plane to take out the cloth seats and put in some leather ones from another GTC, I am not sure what year, I will have to see. It needs to floor mats, and I plan to have some with GTC embroidered in red made for me. I will also want a dash cover as well, custom with GTC in red as well. I will have to see what condition the carpet is in to see if it needs to be replaced. I might consider getting a four point harness when the engine mods are done. I'll also see what other mods I plan to do as I go along. I can tell you that the dash cluster will have some blue back lighting and I will some autometer gauges installed, some on the A pillar, and no, not a 5" tach. That is tacky, sorry for the bad pun.

The Stereo and Electronics:

All the stereo equipment that was in this car is either stolen or not worth stealing so it will ALL be replaced. The deck will be another Kenwood, no question. My old one was destroyed in the accident. I will also have some MB Quart speakers installed in the doors, dash, and back. I will have an Orion sub as well with a small Kenwood amp. I'll post pictures as soon as I have made a decision on which ones I plan to buy. I also plan to look around or make my own enclosure.

As for electronics, same for the 89. I plan to install an A'pexi boost controller solenoid along with the AVC-R Boost Controller and the S-AFC fuel & air regulator so that I can up my boost pressure.

Hi. I'm fairly new to Turbo Dodges but not to blown cars (I know GM). Congrats on your find, hope you're coming along well with your project. I've a Lebaron project myself and I was curious about a few things: You say "Since you have a 2.2L you would have a Turbo II, which I would take over a VNT." Why is that? I thought the TIV VNT was the ultimate? Also, your VNT being a 1990, is that a 2.5 or 2.2? I saw you're replacing your VNT with a Garrett T3? Again why? The A568 trans - can you give me more info on it and why it's better than the previous 5-speeds? Also, as boogtc25 mentioned, I saw in AllPar that there were 123 Coupes/132 convertible 1990 VNT Lebarron GTCs built, is your 25 just the 5-speeds and the rest were automatics? Hope you can answer my questions, I've a ton more in my CarDomain page for my LeBaron if you don't mind looking at them. We can PM if you'd rather. Thanks.

Lee: That is great to hear! I am glad you were able to do what I couldn't! Hackery: I would be interested if it wasn't a convertible. Anyhow, it can't be a VNT, those were only offered in the GTC for the 1990 model year. In 1989 you have the choice between the Turbo II and the Turbo I. Since you have a 2.2L you would have a Turbo II, which I would take over a VNT.
