JEEP COMMANDER

Jeep Commander combines two of the Jeep brand?s highest ideals ? off-road prowess and environmental responsibility.
With the addition of an alternative power source to this Jeep ? dual electric motors (front and rear) with a fuel cell battery pack ? this concept vehicle commands respect in any environment while making minimal impact on it.
Commander feels stable and secure on the road with a width of nearly seven feet (80 inches). Providing additional security are exterior mirrors with wipers and integrated 180-degree convex mirrors that help eliminate blind spots. Should the path lead off- road, the ride height is adjustable and can be raised four inches.
Off?road aerodynamics are aided by a special heat-exchanging cowl panel that improves wind flow over the windshield and draws hot air out from under the hood to keep the fuel cell system cool. At highway speeds, a rear spoiler deploys from the roof. An ?on-demand? roof rack, available when needed for luggage, stays flush with the roof in its normal position.
Inside, data such as weather, traffic and directions, as well as phone, Internet and vehicle diagnostic information are provided by a small laptop computer that can dock into the center console. A small microphone embedded in the steering column can even receive voice commands, which then can be translated into data.

JEEP VARSITY

Jeep Varsity. Sports car performance. Legendary Jeep off-road prowess.
In the city you'll be there fashionably quick thanks to the Varsity's burly V6 engine. And off road when time melts into wide open spaces you'll have the legendary capability of Jeep 4WD.
Off the Line The Jeep Varsity is built for performance. A 300 horsepower V6 sends this Jeep off the line in sports car time. Crisp handling and the independent front and rear suspension give the Varsity a great ride both on and off the paved road.
Off the Road The independent suspension is teamed with the Jeep brand's legendary Selec-Trac 4WD system. As with any Jeep vehicle, aggressive approach and departure angles and over-sized tires give this vehicle the off road chops to "go anywhere" and "do anything."
Jeep Past/Present/Future Varsity sports a more vertical interpretation of the trademark Jeep grille. The A-pillar resolution is reminiscent of Wrangler, while separate side markers and turn indicators echo Jeep Cherokee. The exterior sheet metal, where full surfaces transition with facets and hard intersections, show a direct lineage from the Grand Cherokee. Varsity's exterior design of substantial shapes and strong lines is evident inside as well. Heavy-duty materials suggest a rugged mountaineering readiness.

JEEP JEEPSTER

A V8-powered sports car that can cover the Rubicon Trail, the ultimate test of off-road prowess. It could only be called the Jeepster.
"The original 1948 Jeep Jeepster was an interesting adaptation of a military vehicle for civilian life," said Micheal Moore, DaimlerChrysler's chief designer for the interior and exterior of Jeep products. "It looked like it was tough, but it was really only a car. It left out some of the characteristics that make Jeep products unique today ? features such as four-wheel drive and true off-road capability. So when we revisited the idea, we made sure this vehicle could cover the Rubicon Trail and still thrive on-road with unique, adjustable suspension."
The Jeepster's electronic, four-wheel independent suspension raises and lowers via two console switches. On-road, the Jeepster has a ground clearance of 5.75 inches. Off- road, the Jeepster can be raised to a rock-climbing 9.75-inch ground clearance. Equipped with short overhangs, a 4.7-litre 32-valve V8 engine, monster dual exhaust pipes, a Quadra-Trac II transfer case with on-demand 4WD high and low, a four- speed automatic and an integrated aluminum skid plate, Moore says the Jeepster is not a sport-ute 'wanna-be.' It's the real deal. It's even equipped with a tow hook designed into the hood hinge.
The Jeepster's traditional seven-slat grille is flanked by open fenders cantilevered over the front tires. Round headlamps are slightly exposed above the hood surface, and an elegant character line in the center of the hood is in keeping with the original Jeepster. The entire vehicle angles forward ? in the on-road position ? to create an aggressive, linear look. A roll cage stands at attention under the Jeepster's soft convertible top. And the deeply sculpted, 19-inch aluminum wheels are mated with Goodyear extended- mobility tires, designed to run for 50 miles after a flat.
Inside, the Jeepster's instrument panel has a military radio look. Compact controls are arranged concentrically, and the navigational system features a global positioning satellite system, an altimeter and a grade and roll indicator. The Jeepster's seats are crafted of the same weather-resistant leather used for hiking boots.

JEEP TOBASCO

What do you get when you cross a legendary go-anywhere, do-anything vehicle with the legendary eye-watering, tongue-tingling hot sauce? What else ? Wrangler TABASCO.
It's a new Jeep concept vehicle that?s currently adding a lot of heat to auto shows and special events around the country. The concept began when the Jeep Division was approached by McIlhenny Company of Louisiana ? the makers of Tabasco products ? to jointly create a promotional Jeep vehicle that would feature their Tabasco logo. The Jeep team brought this vehicle to life and couldn?t resist adding a dash more spice. What evolved was a special edition Wrangler that?s literally built to blaze new trails. Among its major modifications are a 5.2-litre V8 engine, four-speed automatic transmission and Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel drive transplanted from Jeep Grand Cherokee and Cherokee.
Also suggesting blistering hot performance are features like:
Unique PPG: Red-Hot Chili Pepper Candy paint scheme blends to White Pearl at the rear
Five-spoke wheels engraved with red chili peppers and Goodyear tires with ?hand-cut? chili pepper tread pattern
Mopar Power Tech performance camshaft, premium fuel calibration engine computer and dual catalyst with dual exhaust
NOS nitrous system disguised as a Tabasco bottle for extra power
Functional hood louver
Red-tinted windshield
Unique Agate interior with custom fabrics plus red leather sports-bar covers
Wrangler TABASCO will be "on tour" all year at select auto shows, The Jeep Health and Fitness Tour, and upcoming Jeep vehicle owner events. And while you might not be able to take it on the trail anytime soon, it?s fun to imagine what a vehicle with red-hot power, capability and natural gusto could accomplish if it were ever set free.
