Malaia: '03 MazdaSpeed Protege

I bought this car in early June of this year. If you are unfamiliar with MazdaSpeed, MazdaSpeed was made to be the higher-end performance branch of Mazda. The first of these, was the 2003 MazdaSpeed Protege. While this car wasn't made with drag racing in mind, it deffienetly had handling. This car was made to hug the road and to take every corner as fast as you can. With a respectable 170 turbo=charged engine, the MSP can be quite fast.

I was surprised to find out just how much horsepower this car had locked away. The exhaust was extremly restrictive, and with a turboed car, that's the last thing you want. Not to mention the small hole for the airbox. So I changed out the ehxaust with a 2.4 inch CorkSport Exhaust and opened up the airbox. I put a K&N drop in air filter, a TWM shortshifter and a HKS turbo timer.
