There's really not much to say other than this is a stock 2003 Mazda Protege5, without the accessory roofrack (which makes the car look extra wagon-ey), and with a dealer-installed spare-tire-mounted 100W sub/amp combo unit. I'll post pics of that later - it seems to be a conversation starter.
Other than that, I've replaced the stock tires with some extra grippy Z-rated Fuldas and that's about it. The tint's too dark for the state of NC, so I'm about to have it removed . . . it was too dark for FL when I was there, too, but not so drastically over the limit that it was readily noticible. It stands out as WAY TOO DARK here, though.
I'm gonna be holding this car for a good long time, so I'm looking into starting some performance mods - I've got other expenses to tend to first, though. So, while I'd love this little hatch to be faster I'm gonna have to make due for a little while longer.
Eh, I'm not suffering, though. Vanessa, as she's affectionately named, is fully loaded: moonroof, 6disc-in-dash cd changer, leather, power everything, SHIFTRONIC sportshift 4spd . . . I love this car. I really can't see a good enough
reason to replace her yet.
Besides, I'm a musician, just starting in the whole Charlotte music scene, so I'm gonna need my "bandwagon" for carting gear. Unless I'm getting a G35 Coupe, I can't see NOT driving a hatch. My first car was an '88 Plymouth Horizon . . . I loved that car too . . . it hated me . . . but I learned with that car how versitile and useful it is to have that cargo-hauling ability. I wouldn't want a sedan now.
Wow, I can talk for days. If you want to chat or something, hit me up. Thanks for reading this.
I'm really just here to check out the other rides anyway.
