FOR SALE! 29.5K
The following is my best description of the car in all honesty. Improvements have been made since these pics were taken. Some items in this car work but are simply not hooked up. I have only had the car about a year and have had a lot of work done so far. I was planning on doing the interior over and re-wiring the car but more important issues had to taken care of first. Car has a VIN number but not registered yet. Will be registered as a kit car.

It is a 1986 Lamborghini Countach Replica. The body is fiber glass and was made by American Fiberglass bodies, now out of business. As far as bodies go this was one of the best made. It is to exact Lambo specs. Glass is original with the exception of the rear glass in front of the air scoop. Windows operate but are not hooked up. Doors are manual release from the inside and auto release by controller on key chain. Inside door jams have been painted red since these pictures. Has wiper but motor not hooked up. Lights work but auto flipper motors are not hooked up. Manual flipper works fne.

Interior is ok. I was going to redo it but go busy and the other issues came first. I was also going to rewire the car because it probably should be. Gas gauge and speedometer do not work due to no speedo cable and no tank float. Temp gauge works, tack works, lights work including flasher, signals, headlights, parking lights. No air, no heat but does have heater hoses going to a heater unit, blows lightly but I’ve never run the heater. The car never sees ugly weather. Has radio, CD, back up camera.

The frame is (I was told) custom made tubular to Lambo specs. I don’t doubt this but the frame needed some welding improvements and I had them done by a local welding shop, $1700 worth. The ugly frame piece you see behind the car is gone. Tranny was remounted correctly on new framework. Then I had the wheel bearings, alignment, and balancing, new coil over shocks ($1000) and other suspension parts that it needed. ($2400) New exhaust tips added.

The motor. It’s a 305 V8, bored 30 over with a mild cam, sounds mean. I was told less than 100 miles on the motor. I haven’t even got to it yet but it seems strong. Starts and runs good. Tranny is good, has a B&M automatic shifter that I’m not crazy about but some folks love them. Car has original Lamo cooling, three radiators which work manually with switches inside. There is a radiator mounted under each air scoop. I haven’t seen the car overheat at all.

Like I said I haven’t driven the car much more than to the welder, mechanic and gas station in the past few months and then the bad weather came. But I can say this car is AMAZING to drive anywhere. It is a magnet and draws people to you with kids, cameras, questions, waves, smiles, open mouths going down the road. I get a crowd when I park it in my driveway for crying out loud. If you have a business, it will definitely MAKE THEM STOP. I’ve been asked if I would rent it out for a month by local businesses.

This has been a short but fun experience. Unfortunately I can not keep this car at this time. So here’s the low down on price. I paid 25K, and 1.5K to ship it to me. Then 1.7K for the welding and 2.5K for all the mechanical work and parts. So I’m into it for $30.7K. These cars even though they are kits, run up to $60 for a nice car. This one is about 10-12K away from that. Or leave it as is and wait for someone to want it because they will…

The car is a kit-car but probably one of the nicer ones. It was also built in the late 80's I believe. I think this to be the second motor put in it first was a V6. I have some old paper work from previous owners back in 93. Car originally out of Pocono PA. I got it in Tennessee.

The Lambo is not new, it's not a luxury sedan or an all season car. It should be owned by someone who can do improvements or minor repairs. It's old school mechanics, points, plugs condenser.. Edlebrock carb, caddy transmission. To me its fun working on it, making it the way I want it and must work on it inside the garage or I'd never get anything done. Neighbors, etc always stop to talk or look and you wind up going for a ride.. I'm 50, and it's the coolest car I've ever been in no doubt. But it is a kit car and not a 150K original. But looking at it you'd never know until you don't see a 12 cylinder in there. The kits with V8's are taking more than a Fiero frame and V6 motor. If you look at an original the only exterior lights this car is missing are the front side markers which can be added in easily and originals cost only $150. I don't know how picky you are but those are the kind of things I was wanting to do before I spent all that money on the frame and suspension. The car had such a bad vibration I had to get it fixed first. I went through process of elimination with the new shocks/alignment/frame/motor mounts, but it needed it all and made the car safer. It still has a slight vibration but could be the re-alignment it needs now. Still, it gets up there now, weighing only 2500 lbs or less.. When it ran badly it still ran at 65. You want to go slow in this car for many reasons, first is so all can see you in it, next is the cops like it too ( I have never been pulled over) and folks hang out of their cars to take pics of it and if you don't slow down they will follow you home.

Its a car to have fun in, two seater and low. It stops traffic and is absolutely a kick to watch the reactions of others. NOT why I bought the car but it is fun. Rmember, this car can only go up in value or at least stay the same as your investment in it. In 10 years you can get 30K for this car. Go buy a new Mercedes and see what you get for it in 10 years!
