This is the 502 std bore BBC. It it is the same externallly as all BBCs. 396-454. The only difference is the timing chain cover. It started life as a steel head 450HP motor. I did a few mods.
I added a set of Canfield heads with .230 intake valves, titanium retainers, locks, and a stud girdle. A Bullet cam, Comps cams solid roller lifters, and new pushrods round out the valve train. The bottom end got new H beam rods new oil pump and an 8 qut. oil pan. Rotating assembly was balanced.
Over this last winter ,2002/2003, made a few more mods. I added the aluminum radiator, line lock to help with the burnouts, and I finnaly found a 16" aircleaner for the dominator that would fit under the hood. Of course I had to get a taller hood too. A harwood bolt on with a 4" cowl.
This last winter 2004/2005 saw more mods. To tell the truth I am still in the process... changed the intake from a Holley Strip Dominator to the Eldebrock Super Victor, Wilson Signature Series Intake and a Quick Fuel Carb. I highly recommend Quick Fuel! Marty is the Best! Check this out!
