Engine Cover - Before
.
I could have left it if the Charger was "Go ManGo!", BUT, mine is SUBLIME.
.
After
.
Kept front RAM area orange since it is a HEMI. Line color scheme came from my son. Still need to wet sand and clear coat the lines. I'm happy with how it's turning out.

Ignition Switch - Before

Something is missing.

Ignition Switch - After

OK Comedians! NO, it was not the keys. Dodge should've done this. I like the "old school" look like the 66 Charger.

Driver Door - stock
.
.
What made me think of this is the upper door panel on my 70 Charger had a circular emblem with the Charger script on it.
.
.
Here is the upper door panel on the new charger with the "CHARGER" emblem. But it's not done yet!

Back in the early 60's, Chrysler Corp. was making some awesome cars that were to be proud of. They wanted their cars to be recognized by a standard they meet. They badged all of their cars with a Pentastar on the lower passanger side front fender, just behind the wheel. When anyone saw this badge, they knew it was a product of the Chrysler Corporation, a MoPar!
.
.
The Pentastar on the fender was removed in the 70's. It briefly came back in the mid 90's, but taken off again once buying of Chrysler Corp by Dailmer-Benz.
.
I think they should put it back on.

For those of us who drive American cars, I don't think our engines should be measured in liters for their displacement.
.
I perfer CUBIC INCHES!
.
I think it would be cool for MA MOPAR to make this emblem for us who have a 5.7l HEMI!

Shifter Knob - Before
..........Now, there is nothing wrong with the stock shifter knob that comes in the Charger Daytona. Leather wrapped, sub-lime stitching, nice form.
.
..........I originally wanted to put in the HURST t-handle shift knob, BUT, once I saw the MOPAR T-handle, my mind was changed! I've heard that the shifter knob for different years of LX models comes off different ways. So here is how to do the shifter knob swap on a 2007 Dodge Charger Daytona.
.
Tools Required:
1 Flat screwdriver, 1 allen wrench 2mm
.
NOTE: SAFETY FIRST! Put your emergency brake on first. For easier removal and installation of the shift knob, put the shifter into "D" position. This can be done with the car in PARK. but access to the retaining hex screw on the MOPAR T-handle is not as easy as in DRIVE. You decide what the best way for you is.
STEP 1:
.....With the flathead screwdriver, insert it in between the chrome retaining ring and the leather knob on the right side of the knob. Gently twist the screwdriver till the chrome piece comes loose. Let it slide down to the bottom of the shift lever.
.
STEP 2:
.....Next, turn the knob COUNTER-CLOCKWISE until loose. Remove the knob and chrome retainer.
.
For removal, I left the Charger in PARK. For installing the now MOPAR T-handle, I put it in "D"/DRIVE. Just a reminder, the car does not need to be running to put it into DRIVE.
.
STEP 3:
.....Take the new t-handle and place it on the shift lever and let it slide down.
.
STEP 4:
.....Set the knob to the position you want. With a 2mm allen wrench, turn the retaining screw clockwise to tighten.
.
STEP 5:
.....Return the shift lever to PARK. Then ENJOY !!!
BRAKES : Before
The Charger Daytona comes stock with the Heavy Duty Police brake package. Bosch 14" vented rotors , Mopar semi-metallic pads with dual-piston calipers up front and single piston calipers on the rears.

BRAKES : After
Started with upgrading to slotted / vented Power Slot rotors. Pads, we went with HAWK. Painted the pad bracket gloss black and the caliper we painted metallic "sub lime". Not real happy with how the paint went on the caliper, but, happy with the look overall.

MORE TO COME!!!
