..........On July 10, 2008 my son Kyle (aka "Ky-man") had open heart surgery/valve replacement(his 3rd time). Here is a pic of him at the 2007 "SRT / Coronado Classic Speed Festival" last October.
.
Just gettin' the word out on the Domain to keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Ky is more than just my son, he's my co-pilot, he helps the Charger get traction at the track, my only real competition when playing GT4, videographer, he inspires me to persevere in tough times, and is a miricle of God!

Well, I am the Blessed and proud owner of this 2007 Charger Daytona R/T, SUBLIME #1166 of 1500 for US production. It has the 350 hp 345 c.i. HEMI (5.7L), 5 speed AutoStick, 20 inch chrome-clad wheels on 245/45VR20 GOODYEARs. First morning at home, and yes, that is a 1970 Charger 500 on the other side of it.

..........Here is the story on how I came to acquire our 07 Charger Daytona. I had actually been eye-balling it for about three weeks online, noticing that every time I looked, it was still there. Finally, on a whim one Saturday, I decided I wanted to check the car out in person. So I started the drive to Temecula. While on the way there, I started praying to God, " I know I don't have to have this car. You know I like this car, so if it is meant to be, let it be obvious to me, if I'm not supposed to get this car, close that door quickly! I trust in you Lord." I just kept praying the whole way up.
..........Finally get to DCH Dodge and notice that the car is on the showroom floor! I walk in and go over to it to look at the final mark-up price and what the damage would be. As I'm looking at the price, I'm thinking to myself, "HELL NO! I can't afford this!" As I was about to make my exit, my salesman made his move on me. Told him I was lookin' into a Charger or RAM. He crunched some #'s on some "Big Horn" RAM's, looked at some but none were in a color I liked. There started crunchin' on #'s on Chargers that were more in my price range. Through-out this ordeal, I'm calling the wife, trying to get her input. Which she wouldn't, saying "this is on you!"
..........Finally decided on a silver 06 R/T. The #'s seemed to work, so I said OK. I went outside and stood by what I thought was going to be my new purchase. Much to my suprise, he's pulled up in this "Infero red" Charger, saying "here it is." I look at him, point to the silver R/T and say, " No, this one." He comes back with, "Noo, this one. This is the one I did the #'s on" I "Eyored" my way over to him and this car he drove up in. I tell him, "It's red." He replies, "It's not really red." At that moment I was not thinkin' the nicest thoughts about the guy. After walking around the car for about 15 minutes, I finally turn to the salesman and say, "I can't do it." He informs me that they had new stock in at another lot and that he would go check out what colors they got in. He asks me to go wait in the showroom for him. As I'm in the showroom, next to the awesome looking SUBLIME Charger Daytona that I was originally there to look at, the GM (didn't know it at the time)comes up to me and inquires about what's going on. After I tell him, he looks, at the SUBLIME, looks at me, then at the car and goes, "What about this one?" After I stopped salavating, I answer, " If you can give me the same deal as that other car!" He briskly walked away, came back 30 seconds later and said "You got a deal!"
..........About an hour later (5 1/2 hours total), I'm driving home in my first "NEW" car purchase! a 2007 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, SUBLIME #1166 of 1500 with 56 miles on this modern MoPar!When I pulled up to the house, I could her my wife and kids screaming from inside the house! The wife (my MoPar Queen)comes running out of the house yelling "move over, I'm driving!!"
This car has been nothing but a blessing and grace of God!

Another funny thing, in June 07, before I even started looking on-line, I was on the East Coast for work. Last day there, had lots of time to kill before my plane left Jacksonville, FL. What did I do with that time you might ask? Well I blazed down to Daytona that morning to see the infamous "Daytona International Speedway"! Seeing it on TV is cool, but seeing it in person, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.
Was this destiny knockin', a sign of things to come!?
