Put some gas in it and it fired right up! Of course, due to a hole in the tank it only takes 3 gallons at a time.
When I got it, it had been disassembled and stripped. Sitting in a garage, it was ok, but the best I had was a carport, so it didn't take long for rust to start showing.
In classic hotrod tradtition, I went with flat black
, which really made it look a lot better.
It still had no bed, though. Originally, it had a wood bed, and I have all the (rusty) straps to re-create it, but that would be time consuming and expensive. It was the middle of summer, too, and I really didn't want to spend that much time outside, so instead I used 2x4s and 3/4" plywood.
. Still fits with the hotrod look.
Destined to recieve a Viper V10 that'll look sweet under the split hood. Before that, though- brakes. 2 (yes, 2) manual drum brakes just won't do.
