This is my 1991 Escort GT.... 87,000 original miles, 5 speed, cloth interior... this car was pretty much all stock.
here's how it looked when I first saw it:
I'd been looking to buy a new car for the last 5 months, and I looked at pretty much everything. I was on my way home from a car show, and I was supposed to go look at a 1984 FILA edition Thunderbird later in the day.
When we were driving through Durham, I saw it on the side of the road. My dad didn't know if I was serious about buying it, but I knew that I had finally found what I had wanted.
I'm going to be driving it 60 miles a day starting in the fall, so I'd need good fuel economy, and I like to drive fast, so I didn't want a car that would be a "slug", so I knew this was going to be PERFECT.
I'm really into customizing it, just subtle touches, like my seats, and re-doing the stereo, and the shifter area.... I'll eventually be on to bigger and better things, like a TURBO kit, and something tells me that I'll probably have this car for quite some time to come.
I even returned my XBOX 360 that I had, just so I can have more money to spend on my car.
here she is after I cleaned it up a little bit(had to wash it TWICE to get the dirt off!):
The stock fog lights STILL WORK!!!!
then about 6 days later, I went to the junkyard and found seats that I REALLY liked... they were in a Celica GT-S, but I'll make them fit.... not bad for $100:

They're a lot more comfortable than the stock seats, at least in my opinion, and I was going to get Corbeau buckets down the road anyway, but this saved me a FORTUNE on them...
I took off where it says, "TRD"... that was only on with tape striping.... and here's a picture of the car that I took them out of...
