A simple SQ based install with saving space as a concern.
Let's start with the essentials, sound deadening. I tried using Raam mat, with excellent results. I used two rolls, about 125 sq. ft. and about 6 yds of ensolite over that. I covered all surfaces, from top to bottom! Here's a few pics of the process from start, to somewhere in between to a layer of ensolite.
I also covered the inner skin of the doors, as well as much of the outer skin that I could get to.
Here is a pic of the Focal mid installed in the door. I simply used a wooden baffle the size of the factory speaker, then screwed the new speaker down.
