NEW PICS

BouncinSubaru1's 1989 Subaru GL

Deck and Amprack (below)

Whats up everyone? My name's Scott and I love my car, Oswald. He is 16 years old and still kickin'. With only 105,000 miles, Oswald will live forever. Because a 1989 Subaru has limited modification possibilities, I decided to make the stereo the ILLest ever. Check it out...

Head Unit: Pioneer DEH p750mp
Front Speakers: Cadence CWM5Kit Comps
Rear Fills: Cadence XZ651 Coaxials
Speaker Amp: Cadence Q4000 4-channel
Sub: Resonant Engineering HC 15"
Sub Amp: Cadence A7HC
Sub Enclosure: Custom Made Ported 5.5ft^3 tuned at 32hz.

This head unit does everything I need it to do and more. It even plays home videos. It also came with three 6 volt RCA inputs. It plays MP3 and WMA formats as well as CD's.

R.I.P Remote control. Last summer, my car was broken into and my CDs, my poker chips, my Mirror CD-holders, and MY REMOTE were stolen from me. I paid good money for the poker chips, paid good money for the CDs, but the remote is missed the most.

Here is the 15" RE HC. The custom box fits right up against the back seat, BUT it still takes up almost the whole trunk. I left enough room on the side of the box for the wires, a tennis racket, a badminton racket, or some golf clubs.

This is the sweetest sub I have ever seen in person. I've seen pictures of the Inhumans, Shockers, Juggernauts, Brahmas, TDXs, DDs, Armageddons, etc. but the HC holds its own against them all. This beauty is rated at 1200RMS, but its getting about 1400watts from the Cadence A7HC.

This amp was well worth the money. On CAF, it was voted among the "Best Bang for the Buck of 2002" at $400 AND I bought it for $275 shipped!! It runs the sub like a champ and it has yet to clip at all even in the intense heat.

The Cadence Q4000 4 channel amp is giving 200 watts RMS to each of the Cadence components.

Cadence CWM5Kit Comps look great and they sound even better. They are the cleanest sounding speakers I've heard. These have treated me well, but I'll probably be replacing them with some Diamonds or some Focals in the near future.

The tweeters are pointed right at head level for better sound.

RESONANT ENGINEERING

I hope you've enjoyed viewing my 16 year old masterpiece. I know that Oswald isn't the most attractive car on the planet, but I bought him with my own hard-earned money, so I would appreciate it if people wouldn't sign my guestbook and trash my "cheap-ass, ugly-ass, old-ass, rusty-ass" POS. I love my car and I treat it right. I'll post my SPL as soon as I get metered, and I'll try to get more pics soon, but until I do, please sign the guestbook and take my poll. PEACE

COMING SOON... EXTRA BATTERY AND CUSTOM CUPHOLDERS!!

Hey, good effort on the sound system. I see yours is pretty well the same as mine the boxes look very similar. Anyway u reckon yours is the loudest ever prove it! I figure yours should be louder than mine but u should put it to the test, see if u can beat 140db. And by the way my speakers will shit on your for clarity and volume!
