My truck started life as a W/T (Work Truck package) style truck .The only option it had was a tape deck .Since purchasing it in September of 1998 I've done alot of work to it . I setup this page to show the progress of my project. The truck is far from done so check back for more updates. If you have a question about the truck hit me up on AIM baggedlongbed is my name . Updates can be found on page 7 . Check back in the coming months for updated pics of the truck .

ynot80's 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pick-Up

This is what my truck looked like before I started customizing it . All I had done at this point was changed the grille from the W/T (Square Headlights)style to the Silverado(Rectangular Headlights)style .

ynot80's 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pick-Up I added a set of 17x8 Progressive wheels style CR218 and a set of 255-50-17 BFG G-Force KDWS tires.

ynot80's 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pick-UpNow a little height adjustment was need . I installed a DJM 4/6 lowering kit to get the truck closer to the ground.

ynot80's 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pick-Up The front was lowered using 2" drop spindles and 2" shorter coil springs for a total drop of 4" up front .

ynot80's 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pick-Up The rear was lowered using a flip kit to relocate the axle on top of the rear leaf springs . A c-notch was also installed to give more axle clearance . This gives the rear a total drop of 6" .

ynot80's 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pick-Up Now with the suspension done I turned my attention to the exterior . The toolbox was removed and a tonneau cover installed. I removed the badges on the doors and removed the bug deflector and vent visors.

ynot80's 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pick-Up I added a set of TYC Clear headlights and Diamond Back parking and corner lights .I also added street scene speed grille inserts to dress up the front end .

Hot truck. I am getting ready to get started on one in a few weeks. How does the upgrades to the motor improve the HP to the truck. Do you really feel it. I read a nice article in HOTROD about that 4.3 Mine has a 5 speed though How hard are the buckets to install?
