Saab 9-7X Stereo Installation
I just finished installing this system (April 16, 2009). I did 100% of the work myself.
Headunit:
Pioneer AVIC-F90BT
Pioneer CD-SB10 with Sirius SC-C1
Scosche GM1595B double din dash kit
Pioneer GEX-P10HD HD radio
Thomas Hohl Knurled Black Knob
Comments on the F90BT: The screen quality is excellent. I love the high resolution display. The unit does have a bit of a hiss. The hiss is based on the way the software in Windows CE is working, not my install. All F90BT's have the same noise. I turned down the amp gains a bit to minimize it. It's now faint enough that it's not bothersome even with the car turned off. The F90BT is a bit sluggish at times, but I still think it's one of the most comprehensive headunits out there and definitely the best bargain. If I replace it, it will be to get something with better SQ, better equalization, and time alignment (So far, I haven't found anything else I like). For now, I'm very happy with it. Ipod integration is excellent, the iGo navigation software is good (8.3.1 would be better), Sirius sounds good, HD radio is nice, and the Bluetooth works fairly well (great sound, though it bogs sometimes after hanging up).
Mods to the F90BT: I have added a Saab boot screen, done the hardware bypass, replaced the key press sounds with silence, and added a larger black, knurled knob. The initial key press sounds were really, really loud and annoying. The knurled black knob makes it look nicer and is much easier to use.

Wiring:
JL XC-PCS2-2B 2 gauge amp wiring kit
3x JL XB-BLUAIC2-18 (18' of 2 channel premium RCA)
PAC SWI-PS steering wheel interface
Metra GMOS-04 OnStar interface
Metra 40-GM10 mini antenna to full size antenna adapter
Metra 40-UV44 Antenna splitter for HD radio and MSN direct

Running new 12 gauge speaker wire into the front doors using the factory grommets.

Tapping into the factory wiring for the rear speakers. Running a new wire would have required drilling through the door panels.

Relocating the factory air compressor controls. This allows the sub box to be bolted through the floor with the controls still accessible.
