This is my 3rd mustang. It's the ugliest one yet, but if you look close, youll see a good solid car with MUCH potential.

The previous owner painted the car flat black over top of the clear coat and it is peeling badly off of the roof, but the underside of the car was coated in a glossy black, which has held up very well sitting through 3 Michigan winters in his back yard.
THE DRIVETRAIN:
I picked up a motor out of a junkyard '74 maverick.

You should have seen what the motor looked like before I started cleaning it up and painting it. It was nasty.
I tore the motor down to nothing but the block, heads, and rotating assembly. Since then Ive installed a new cam and lifter kit, new fuel pump, rebuilt the water pump, cleaned up and painted the intake I got with the car, and put a fresh coat of ford blue over everything.

Im just doing a mild budget build on the motor for now to give me something to play with for the rest of the summer. It should have pretty good throttle response and mid-range, and will be decently fun to drive with the 5 spd.
