There are many times when everyone needs something, whether it's a hand, a friend, a tool, or somebody to say "Are you f&^%ing stupid?" and keep me straight. This page is for recognizing those people.
Akio Shiomura: You have been the best for me and my Surf. Thank you for all your advice, and help in making my truck what it is, from the first suspension lift to the awesome hand crafted stainless steel exhaust system you built. Mondai nai, anata wa dai-ichiban daiji na hito. Honto ni, boku kara, domo arigatou gozaimasu!!
John Small: For helping me set up my Snap-On account which provided the tools to get the job done!
Matt Beyer: For hand-crafting the K&N filter mount, helping me tear down the motor in Negishi to find those bogus parts, and the tons of car knowledge I learned from ya!
Snap-On Tools: For making the best tools for the job.
Toyota & TRD: For making the best llineup of vehicles in the world!!!!!.
Buddy, Jemma, & Adam: Buddy & Jemma for introducing me to Adam... and to Adam: THANK YOU for helping me ship the Surf to the US!!!!
Scott Wascher: For putting up with me, through good times and bad. You also drove me down to get the Surf from Adam, and escorted me back to WA. I still can't believe we made the multi-state drive with Japanese plates and never got questioned! :)
Mitch and Mike at Eastern Truck Accessories (ETA): You guys are great!!!! When I came to you guys with my plans to swap out the Stage 1 with a modified Stage 2 and the poly busings, you guys said "If it doesn't fit, we'll make it fit and work" Your shop was great and I refer everyone I meet to you!
The Head Shop, Virginia Beach, VA: You guys were awesome at making the engine run better than new. Your promise of "It'll turn over by the third crank. If it doesn't we'll come to your house and make it work". You can't find a better warranty than that!!
Brandon Hunt: You were definitely needed during the engine swap. I really appreciate you enduring the 20*F cold with 20 mph winds behind our apartments to help me.
Napa, Autozone, and Advanced Auto Parts: You guys are the backbne for home mechanics, and you usually have a ton of parts and knowledgable staff ready to assist your customers. HOWEVER, STOP USING REMAN'D PARTS THAT WERE OUTSOURCED TO MEXICO!!!!!!! I'VE GONE THROUGH 3 ALTERNATORS AND 2 STARTERS IN UNDER 3 YEARS!!!! I went to Toyota after the 2nd starter fiasco, got one of their units and it's been bulletproof ever since. You guys are wasting everyone's time by giving them sub-standard parts.
