It's on the road. Still have little things to do (alignment, need to replace a tire, etc.), but it's drivable. I'm kicking myself for not doing rings, because it currently (summer '08) burns oil. It's likely coming back out over the winter to do the rings and to change the intake gaskets. The stock Vortec gaskets are apparently prone to leaking. Fel-Pro has some new paper steel core gaskets that are supposed to remedy this. I also need to replace the solenoid on the starter motor because it has a tendency to get hot with the headers. I'd really like to get some shorty style headers that bolt up to factory exhaust, it would make things like the oil filter & starter much easier to get to. I also discovered the 4-speed is no good, one of the needle bearing sets blew out and made their way along the countershaft gears, tearing them up (the mainshaft gears are still good though). I'm still debating on if I want to go ahead and save up for a 6-speed or try to find a 4-speed to use with this setup.
