My 2006 Sorento LX 5 speed with sport package
My Sorie just after buying her in Feb 2007.
Here's her first Mod, some pedal covers from Wal-Mart ooh ahhh!
July after a few mods. Pic on the right has the black T grill inserts. Not sure which I like better?
20" Platinum Reflex wheels with 275/45/R20 Kumho tires. I believe the offset is 15. Finally found someone that had these in stock for a Sorento! Found them at - Wheelplay.net
Was well worth the extra time painting the calipers while the wheels were off. Was pretty much an all day job but this small detail made a big impact. Don't cut corners when it comes to the prep work. Used fast dry brake cleaner, a wire brush, and scotch brite pads to prep the surface and covered just about the whole vehicle with newspaper and a tarp to avoid getting overspray on the black paint.
3 coats of primer and 3 coats of Duplicolor caliper paint did the job.
Some before and after shots of the interior. Unfortunately I didn't get the leather seat package and had to use seat covers to protect the cloth from my scrubby work clothes. The picture doesn't do them justice. They look pretty good.
Kenwood DNX7100 dbl din Head Unit. Loads of features including:
Touch screen/remote
Garmin Navigation/Satellite Radio
DVD/CD
Multi Disc Controller
IPOD/USB
HD Radio
TV
Added a Kenwood GXM30 Antenna (xm radio)
The double din unit fit perfectly using a bracket and wiring harness from http://www.installer.com/
Kenwood 10 disc cd changer (under driver seat/had to remove factory amp)
Kenwood KSC-SW1 Amplified Subwoofer. 150 watts adds just enough bottom end to the high output head unit. Will definitely add some amplification and upgrade the speakers later but this system sounds awesome. Pic on the right shows the Sub controller.
Absolute com7071r headrest monitor. Cut an opening in the seat cover about 1 inch smaller than the monitor then tucked it in.
Had a Viper alarm system installed by Circuit City.
Features:
Dual Shock Sensor
Auto Lock
Aux out for the hatch window
Code Hopping
