Major update!!!

I decided to can all the pics that were posted up here as almost everything has changed except the main body colour!!!

This is my pride and joy.

Jetta2-ZA's 1989 Volkswagen Jetta

1989 Mk2 Jetta, owned from new, purchased December 1989. Current mileage is 489 000+km.

Originally a 1600 CSL carb model. Original motor died a horrible death while teaching a Corsa B GSI a lesson! 1600 had 428 582km on it.

Originally I did a motor swop to an import "RV" code 1800 with full conversion to stand alone fuel injection system (Gotech MFI, but soon to be upgraded to the Gotech Pro X system).

Now the motor is a 2 litre 8 valve ADY block. Running a Bahn Brenner Motorsport twin screw Lysholm supercharger kit (14.5PSi/1Bar boost), 440cc injectors, flowed and port matched head and inlet, OEM G60 camshaft, 8.5:1 comp ratio, custom water-air charge cooler set-up, Wildcat 4-2-1 headers, 57mm pipe, G60 airbox, paper filter, etc, etc, etc.

No power and torque figures as yet.

The G60 cam is to be changed soon for a Techtonics 268/260.

Front and rear bumpers smoothed and custom painted.

OEM VW Touareg tow hitch fitted (removable type).

Rims are 15 inch AVUS 2 alloys from the Mk4 TDI Golf, 5X100PCD, running Michelin Pilot Sprt 195/45's. They original silver on the rims was in bad condition, so I did a DIY refurb and rattle-canned them with Sprayon Engine Enamel. The colour is called "cast iron".

Did a DIY hub drill to the 5X100PCD.

KONI coilovers in front and KONI adjustables in the rear.

in.Pro projector headlights fitted as the OEM lights suck big time for night driving.

LED front indicators and custom DIY taillights.

Front seats have been changed to cloth Recaro's from a Mk4 GTI.

Audio set-up consists of a JVC AVX800 custom fitted into the centre console, Boston splits in front, Boston co-axials in the parcel shelf, Kicker ZX700.5 amp, Kicker L5 12 inch dual 2 Ohm sub in a custom enclosure, battery in trunk, Kicker wiring kit, Stinger RCA's, etc. Trunk build is faaaaar from completed. I used the grille from a Kicker Comp sub, cut it into 4 pieces and used them as "claws".

All work is being done by me, bar the fitting of the KONI's, the branch +pipe and the smoothed bumpers.
