This car was bought new by my parents who hardly ever drove it. It has been garage kept since day 1 & is in immaculate shape inside & out. Last summer I bought the car from them & began my necessary modifications. I am more picky about this car than anything I own which is why it sits in the garage covered unless I'm sure it is not going to rain. I have a '91 eclipse to drive to work so I only have to take the stang out when it's decent weather. (I'll have pics of the eclipse once it gets the necessary mods as well!) Now more about the mustang... My first step was the K&N filter system to help the car breathe better. Next step was the Saleen tailights which I have always liked on a white mustang because they really stand out. I've always been in love with the 17" Cobra 'R' rims, so I went ahead & got a new pair along with 275/40/17 tires. Next was the most important step for this car to be an acceptable form of transportation...a system that rocks! I brought my car to a car audio store in Erie, PA called PRO-AUDIO where an excellent install was done on their part. A front angle view of the car for starters.A full view of the dash with the JVC KD-LX1 "el Kameleon" cd player. (You can see how clean I keep this car...I can't stand seeing even one little pebble on the floor mats) As you can see, the door panels remain to look factory. The only exception being the 1" tweeter which was done so well that it looks factory as well. The factory speakers were replaces with Memphis 5x7 Reference speakers with the tweeters angled up towards the driver. A close up of the passenger side 1" tweeter.A closer view of the JVC turned off. Here is the CD player during loading. (The bottom panel slides in while the top portion of the face plate slides down to revela the entrance for cd's.Here's the JVC in action. Here's a pic of my power sources. The rectangular section where the speaker fabric is on top of the amps is actually nothing more than a port for airflow. On the left is a Memphis 16-ST100 to power my mids & highs. In the center is a Memphis CX-25 2 way electronic x-over. Both amps have built in X-overs but I thought it would be cleaner if I went with a seperate one. One the right is a very deceptful amplifier. It may appear small, but it packs a punch. It is a Memphis 16-ST1000D digital amplifier. It is running @ 1 ohm to 4 subs in the trunk. (yes it is stable @ 1 ohm) The amp puts out 1100 watts RMS @ 1 ohm. Here's a view from the other side. I also wanted to mention that there is a Lightning Audio Strike 1.0 Farad Cap behind the amp rack. Also, 4 guage power wire was used for installation. Now for the B-B-Bass! I am using four Memphis AR10 10" subs which are being sufficiently powered to say the least.
