I have been working on getting the front plate off the dash. It kept falling down and was really annoying. So I made a bracket and used a plate frame/cover set to fabricate a mount that would not require any additional holes and would not block any air flow.
The mount bolts to an existing point just behind the driver-side marker lamp and feels very solid.

Last year I added a Classic Fuel Cap and an amplified Fuba antenna. They both look very nice if a little a-symmetric.
Here is a better picture of my custom made hood ornament.
Real chromed bronze, not a plastic stick-on. A couple people have said it does not fit in with the over-all look, but I wanted something that was completely unique on the hood. Most people have commented on how much they like it, so I guess it stays for now.
