As you can see its not finished, this was my dailly driver for 10 years before i pulled it down for a rebuild and some restyling.

Restyling consists of 58 Edsel headlight bezels on modified 58 corvette headlight buckets, the headlights are canted and flow into a custom grill cavity wich will feature a chrome cupboard knob grill, this was a popular custom grill trick in the early 60's the hood corners are radiused, hood ornamant and badges are shaved, front idicators are a chrome tinted glass bullet frenched in with a raised edge as is also the twin arials in the passenger side gaurd, the lower door corners are also radiused and the door handles are replaced with flush push buttons, at the rear the tail lights are frenced in, they are tunneled about 1.5" and use modified standard bezels wich now go in from inside the car, most of this is to acheive a sculptured smooth look opossed to a mass produced stamped out look, the tailgate is the smoother EK type and holds the only key hole wich unfortunately is required for registration.

Throughout the rebuild a lot of rust was found, the body was really only good for scrap metal due to rust and 47 years of fatigue but was repaired instead due to sentimental reasons.

Mechanically it is using the block i fitted about 9 years ago from a fairly hot FE project that never made it to the road, its a 179 (hp) block, it has been line bored, decked oringed and bored, the crank is a machined down and balanced 3.3 black motor crank with shot peened, closed and honed black rods and arp bolts, pistons are ACL race series with the dish machined deeper to help reduce cr, the crank is bolted in with arp studs, the head is a black 3.3 efi head, the block was drilled to suit, it has been cc'd to drop cr, its fairly ported, runs pep pro valves on double springs with arp screw in studs, yella terra yt 5008 rockers, yella terra guide plates and manley pushrods, its bolted down with a arp stud kit and a custom copper gasket.
oil pump is JP high volume, sump & pick up are EH currently the balancer is a ross tuffbond, the cam is a custom camtech solid supercharger grind with solid lifters, ignition is crane cams HI-6 trc with a vh dizzy.
transmission is a modified commodore trimatic with a hurst promatic 2 shifter and dominator 2800rpm stall convertor, bolted on ofcourse with arp rods on a magnum flex plate. the transmission is cooled with 2 coolers, one is fan cooled.

steering is HR with a EJ colum and wheel, brakes are currently HR with disc at the front, all standard HR apart from adr approved braided flexible hoses.
Many parts are fabricated at home, the car has stayed in my driveway throughout the whole rebuild and will till its finnished, the uphostery will be stitched up in my back room by me and possibly my wife, it will be trimmed in capri marine vynil, white with gold specail fx vynil on the inserts in a combination of tuck & roll and diamond tufting, it will feature low back buckets, a console, B&W crt tv, telephone and possibly a bar, the interior will be trimmed in a early 60's custom style.
The stereo-
still havent got it all together, none of it will be visible, so far i have a response 2f cap, zapco amp, a proton amp and a response amp, 2 diamond audio speakers, 4 cerwin vega's and a boston for the centre dash speaker, car audio nuts are probably familiar with zapco, vega and diamond audio, the response stuff is just a cheap brand we have in australia and new zealand but its not that bad for the price. I am going to run a dvd reciever in the glove box and the volume will be operated from a dummy period radio in the console and picture displayed on the B&W crt tv.
the dash is chrome, guages are nos stewart warner from 1963, even a nos manifold pressure guage for the supercharger, steering wheel is EJ with a chrome bullet and finished in white pearl over white.
