This 1968 Mercedes Benz 200, fully restored from junk to a new one. Here's the story: Just trade in with my big bike Honda CBR plus cash to my firend. I decided to restore it little by little. It takes about 8 months to finish and to be my gift to myself for my birthday last july 18. What makes me challenge is how to purchase small stuff like parts and accessories with this 68 benz yet im here in manila not all stores have stock for this car. Look at the pix before restoration proceeds, I bought parts for underchassis like ball joint, shocks, tir rod, center link, bushing, even tailights, & sidings. All of it I bought for brand new. Also I bought good stuff for my sounds to make it restored in a modern way. Also the best thing I bought is the old school white side wall tires!! The next thing i want to replace is the steering wheel, just bidding right now at ebay.. check it out guys!!!!

Also, if you are interested, im planning to sell this benz. For benz lovers, asking price is P250,000... +63920 4244897

Jim you have done a wonderful job on your merc , but i have a few remarks if you dont mind . i agree with our friend before me , that you should try to find the original radio , or otherwise get an original cardio/cassette from a newer Mercedes , beacuse that model had only a radio no cassette in it , so you can either get a baker ( Mexico or Europa ) or blaupunkt . laso you need to hide the speakers and get the original steering wheel , coz the one fixed on your car isnt the original one this belongs to the 1974 model . and laso you need to find the original back light covers , the ones you have also belong to the later model , it had the smooth ones when you first baught it why did u get rid of them, and i will forgive you for the white dash board just because it was done excellently , BUT YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB MATE 5 stars for the merc ..:))

Very nice! If I were you though Just IMHO, I would find the classic Radio and put it in, then figure out a way to hide the speakers. Then if you want real audio hide the deck in a glove box, then put the sub under the floor If it comes up like most do in the trunk. That way it has the look of origionality (spelling?) but then sounds like a real car.

Ok bro, thanks for the input. I'm planning to customize my interior a bit, maybe color code it with the exterior and that would help a lot with that project. I've seen some American cars with color coded interiors and paint and they look great. Of course that will be after I drop in an airconditioning system into my ride which didn't originally come with one. By the way, ganda rin ng honda mo. Simple lang and very good daily driver. Can't let go of my Sentra 'coz it's soooo economical on gas and has ample power. 11 kms/ltr in the city and 14.5 highway believe it or not. I'll be in touch. Thanks bro and kudos!!!...
