This is a 1975 Ford F-150 with the Ranger package. The truck is powered by a 390 FE big block. The transmission is a c-6 automatic, which is the only automatic transmission available for the 390. It has an open Ford 9 inch rear-end with 3.25 gears. The frame has been chopped and welded, so it can't tow anything veary heavy. The truck has been used as a truck for its entire life. For about the past 3 years it has been non-opped as it didn't run very well. It wouldn't idle and even if you revved it long enough to get to idle it would die when put into gear. I started working on it and have gotten it to start and idle without revving or pumping the gas. Also it will drop into gear and still run smoothly. One major issue is that it has bad vibrations that make it sound like it idles rough in gear. I'm currently trying to convince my dad to take it off of non-op, and get it insured and registered. Hopefully I can use this truck as a daily driver.
