1960 Chevrolet Impala, Original classic. This is one special 60 Impala. It is a very clean original car. It has the original 283 V8 with 49,920 miles and the original Powerglide automatic transmission. This car runs and shifts great. Everything works. Lights, brakes, etc.. I have been cruising this car around town and the Los Angeles crazy freeways, and enjoying every minute of it. The car has original power steering, and original power brakes.
The undercarriage is clean and very. solid. Since the underside was original, we cleaned it and applied some fresh paint to keep it protected. The exhaust is original and functional, but very old so there are some holes near the end. The wheels are in good condition and the tires are nice with plenty of tread. They are fairly new. The engine compartment in this car is very clean and stock. All original components. We did freshen it up some. We have pictures before the freshening up if you buy the car so you can see it is all original components.
The interior is beautiful. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL!! The carpet is in great condition. It has no rips or signs of fading. The upholstery is very nice. The seats are clean and have no stains, rips, or busted seams. The head liner is in great condition. The dash is very nice and clean. All the trim is intact and the chrome is nice and shiny. Again, all original interior. The car was in a museum for part of its life. This explains a lot.
The exterior trim is all there and intact. the chrome is in good condition and shines up real nice. The front bumper has a scrape on the right side, but still looks great.
The paint looks very nice and glossy, but has some imperfections. Aside from 47 years of wear and tear the paint looks nice and the body is straight. Much of the paint is original. There body and paint is not perfect. But is very nice for old and original paint. It does show patina from being an original car. Look closely at the pictures. They are very fair.
This is an all around nice clean original car. Ready to turn the key and go for a cruise!
