This is my 1989 Toyota Supra. I bought it shortly after graduating high school, so it is the first car I've owned. When I bought it, it was bone stock with ~133k miles and in really nice shape. I did quite a few mods to it in about a year's span. I replaced the head gasket, head bolts, intercooler hardpipes, upgraded the stock turbo, 3" turbo back exhaust with a high flow cat, K&N open element filter, lexus AFM, 550cc injectors, boost controller. When all was said and done, running 15 psi, I assume it was running about 300+ hp and tq to the wheels, I could be off tho.
Then it happened, I ended up spinning the #2 rod bearing the third day I was running 15 lbs. It was a sad day when I heard the knock. I spent about a month deciding whether to sell it or rebuild the motor. I decided to sell :( And I missed it ever since I dropped it off at the buyers place. Then the most amazing thing happened, the person who bought it from me put it up for sale about 6 months ago. I couldn't believe it, I contacted him and we talked, went and checked out the car and bought it back on June 15 '07.
So, here I am today, with my first car back in my hands. Only, a little different. The previous owner put the 1JZ-GTE motor into the car. For those that don't know, the 1JZ is a 2.5 liter inline 6 twin turbo motor. This motor came in these cars stock, but only in Japan from late '89 till then end of their production in '92. Anyway, back to my car. He also put Megan Racing coilovers on it, a set of BR Sport wheels, an SAFC-II fuel controller, a rear sunvisor, and upgraded the stereo system.
So, there you have it, the history of my car up to now. I'm planning on making around 500rwhp eventually with this thing and will keep this page updated as I fix it up. Finally, a few pics of the car =)
