F 5 F U J I T A : Short Ram Intake

Installation:
First, let me tell you it was possible to do-it-yourself. However, plan on some time and some tools that the instructions did not tell you about.
I would recommend doing this undercovered shelter just incase it rains. Plan on spending about 2-3 hours if you have never done this before on another car.
The instructions say you need: Phillips and a flat head screwdriver, a 10mm rachet with a 12" extender.
What you really need for the 2006 Touring: Phillips and a flat head screwdriver, a 10mm and 11mm rachet with a 6" extender will work, small pliers for the clamps, and a floor jack (make sure your on level ground with parking brake on and choks).
Honestly, I think that with a K&N Drop in filter and the removal of just the intake resonator you could see the same power increases as with the fujita and save a couple of hundred dollars. However, I think that a little modification would be needed: Cut the down pipe connector from the filter box. enlarge the downpipe hole to fit however large PVC pipe you wanted and run it down.
If you look at the next picture, you will see where the resonator connects to the bottom of the filter box and you will see what I mean about just disconnecting the resonator and dropping in a K&N.

You would have to cut the hole larger at the bottom where the resonator sits to make it a CAI.
If you look at the next two pictures you will see where the resonator/muffler connects to the bottom of the filter box.
In order to get to the resonator you will have to jack up the car and remove a bolt under the drivers side bumper to move the splash guard to the side. Then remove a small nut. If my memory serves me correct, all you will have to remove from the top is a rubber connector from the filter box. But you have to remove the filter box to remove the connector if you are unable to pull the resonator off because of the connector.
Since my Ody has the VCM, the combination of the intake and the exhaust has made the switch evident accoustically and at times even felt.
Final Installation:

It seems Honda tried to tame the snort of a beast of an engine. Let me see, they first put a muffler/resonator on the intake. Then they put TWO Mufflers on the exhaust. Finally they put ANC inside. Their efforts were in vain for my Ody. The sound is like the sound from a dual exhaust V8 truck though not as loud. I still have yet to cut off the other resonator. I might do that in two weeks when I rework the exhaust. I am not happy with the workmanship. It is not show quality.
