Hi. The car you're all looking at once was a simple, green, stock 325i th
at was driven around in Germany. In 2004 it was imported to Lithuania, and i bought it in early 2006. It sat on stock suspension, had original R15 rims and generally wasn't anything really special. I kept it in a pretty much similar way for a while, but in 2008 i've restored it and customised it to meet my taste.
It was painted in solid black metallic. The hood was custom-painted and had the Nurburgring map on the corner, since the owner is a bit of a 'Ring addict. To all of you haters in advance: yes, it's been on the circuit. 3 times.
I've bought a set of R18 DTM Deep Dish wheels done in matt black with a red lip, to match the general theme. Brakes were upgraded by installing a set of large discs/calipers from E46 330 (thus minimum R17 wheels), and a set of Pagid pads was installed all around. Now the discs and pads are pretty much gone after a series of trackdays, so the upcoming mod is likely to be a set of EBC Turbogrooves and Redstuffs.
The handling is much improved on the Eibach Pro Street S coilovers.
Following the appearance theme, a pair of red Nurburgring stickers were placed on each of the doors. This pretty much finishes off complete black/red theme.
Inside it has a simple stock leather interior, improved by driver's OMP racing belts. Electronics wise it's nothing special, as it is mostly used for spirited driving, not for other sorts of entertainment. A simple JVC head w/ usb and a set of quality Hertz speakers in the back. The amp and bass were thrown out, as they only waste space and make weight.
What else... Some other insignificant mods include a performance chip on the M50B25. Some sort of a front bumper lip, xeon headlights. Stock yellow indicator tail lights were replaced with grey ones out of a facelifted E36. All windows have 65% tint. Well, now doors have their tint removed, as current economic climate isn't anymore making the bribing of local police affordable every day. But once i get out of this shithole, the tint is coming back on for sure.
I'll let the pictures do the justice. It's mostly from various trackdays as this car is commonly seen in all sorts of amateur events. This car is proud to have visited or been driven at the greatest European racetracks such as the Nurburgring, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Oschersleben, Monte Carlo, Assen, AVUS, Reims and the last but not the least - Nemunas Ring.
