I finally got the stereo fired up and somewhat tuned. It is absolutely amazing, the detail is so good I am being forced to buy some better quality cd's because it shows up EVERY flaw in the recordings. I can't wait to go to a real SQ show.

ha ha ha ..... man this place is drama central. Friday I had like 3.25 stars, saturday I had 4 stars, today (sunday) I'm back to 3.25. Oh well, the site is really to track my progress because so many of my friends thought I would never finish - I have been working on it since Nov '06. I guess what I haven't figured out is - what's the prize in having the highest rated car on here.

****** NOTE ******

If you are not into car stereo, please don't bother rating my ride since I sincerely doubt you will have ANY idea what you are even looking at. I am not trying to be a jerk, just being honest. Some guys look at a rex and think to themselves, what would I do with it .... more often than not, race car comes to mind. Truthfully, I had those days when I purchased it new - I sometimes wonder how I lived thru those days of high speed, high cornering driving. But now, with 7 boxes of dynamat, 3 large amps and other equipment, I have probably added 200-250 lbs to the weight. I also had to cut a cross-member in each floor board to put the midbass speakers in. High performance is pretty much out of the question now, although car stereo and possibly car shows are definitely in this car's future.

I purchased it new in Germany while serving in the military, and I am pretty much going to have to start again from the ground up. The car is a work under progress, it is taking me quite a while to get everything done. And please don't judge it too harshly until I get finished.
