This is a 1984 S10 LWB. My wife and I picked it up from the local school district, courtesy of eBay. It has a 2.8L V6 that runs like new, tied to a 4Spd w/ granny gear. This was a serious hauler for the school district, but could've used more TLC in the sheetmetal department. It had absolutely zero options when we got it, but that has already started to change:

VR3 AM/FM/CD/USB/SD-Card stereo, VR3 400W amp
Carbon M3 lighted mirrors
'82 Camaro Z28 rims. BFG 215/70/15's.
Carbon Altezza taillights.
Cavalier Z24 buckets.
'93 Explorer center console.
Gunmetal/black custom headliner.
12-bar custom grille.
Clear corners and turn signals up front.

I'm also working up a scale model of the truck to test paint schemes. That pic will be posted before the real thing sees it's true colors (base white, gunmetal metallic center belt). Lots cheaper, and will be done sooner, I think!

More pics and text to come as work progresses!
Mane

Mirrors are completed, but I need bigger tools to get the rear bumper off! aka Impact wrench. Altezzas in!

9/7/07 Finally got copies of the original pics of the truck from the eBay consignment seller I got the truck from. I'd forgotten how much rust this thing started with!

March 2008
Vacation time. All the interior pieces are going in. The Celebrity overhead dome light is installed and wired, wiring for the amp will be completed shortly, and holes are drilled for the bucket inside mounts. Still have to fabricate brackets to adapt the flat-floored Explorer center console to the rounded S10 floor, but that should happen today. Swapped in the '89 Eurosport wheel from the wife's car. She prefers the look of the 86'es. Finished interior pics to arrive soon!

10/24/08 - Vacation time again.  Got the new tailgate installed, showing the new color scheme to come.  The bottom edge of the Chrysler silver grey metallic is actually too high.  I misjudged when I had it off the truck!  Now I get to add to it, to get the edge in line with the trucks bottom beltline....Manethrall's 1984 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup  Manethrall's 1984 Chevrolet S-10 PickupManethrall's 1984 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup

Hey man...Nice job with the seats... You make it look easy. I know I have to get my buckets in now. The explorer console looks like it fits perfect. C-Ya

My wife thinks she gained legroom. I'm thinking it's about the same, maybe a bit more. The big change I saw was in headroom. By the way, I used Blazer bucket seat mounts to install those seats. You'll find that the inside front mounting point tends to float, but the inside rear works perfect..

How do you like the bucket seats? I am trying to get more leg room in mine and was thinking about doing the same but am not sure if it will work.
