C01312A's 1968 Ford Mustang

******UPDATE 28AUG2007******
Have ripped interior out. Redone all interior panels and trim except for fold down seat. Replaced clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel with RAM components. Also have pulled the old long tubes and exhaust off (they were rusted up pretty bad) and am in the process of installing new Ceramic coated Tri-Y long tube headers with 65' style AC Cobra side exhaust. As a side note for any of you wanting to upgrade to new headers... Some models will require you to use a power steering pump lowering bracket. I was lucky in that this was not the case for mine, however... I am going to have to modify the clutch linkage (z-bar). The bottom bracket on the bar cuts right smack into the middle of the headers so i'll be doing a little chopping and rewelding this weekend. The bar will have to be re-welded about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" over towards the drivers fender well. Other than that its been a pretty smooth install so far. The side exhaust shouldn't need to much fabrication but then again,... heh we'll see.

Will begin my resto project soon. She's got the following specs right now:

-Original 289 with Tri-Y heads.
-Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake
-Edelbrock 650 CFM 4-Barrel Carb
-Long Tube Headers (possibly hooker?)
-Original Top Loader 4-Speed w/ Hurst Shifter
-PowerCell boost-a-spark

She's in pretty good shape with very little rust. I'll be starting up the restomod project sometime aroun December. The future mods will include:

Engine
-Custom Fab Engine Compartment(Shock Towers Removed to Fit BBF Motor-->See Suspension)
-Built 428CJ w/ Dove Canadian Alum. Heads and Intake (Should be good for aroun 515-525 HP)

Tranny/Drivetrain
-Hydraulic to Cable Clutch Conversion
-Tremec TKO600
-Spec Stg.III Clutch and Billet Aluminum Flywheel
-Currie 9" Rear with Detroit Locker
-Custom Fab Driveshaft to fit.

Suspension
-RRS PhaseIII Front Coilover/13" Disc Brake Combo (Eleminates need for shocktowers)
-RRS PhaseIII Rear Disc Conversion
-RRS 3-Link Rear End with Watts Linkage
-RRS Power rack & Pinion Steering w/race pump
-Chrome or Billet Steering Column w/ Tilt
-Koni Adjustables all around
-"Eleanor" style 17" Wheels
-Subframe Connectors
-Shelby GT500 Rollbar

Exterior/BodyWork
-Necessary Sheetmetal work and shoring to support powerplant.
-Complete 68 Shelby GT500 Body (Hood, Nose,Grill,Scoops, taillight panel, etc...)

Interior
-Authentic Shelby Cloned Interior

Check it out on the following pages! This is for any of you vintage mustang owners out there looking for good quality upgrades to bring your old pony up to modern day performance standards. I'll be posting as I get time some of the options out there that I am looking into. If any of yall know of really good stuff that I don't have listed here drop me the info and where I can look it up! I know that I've had to do a LOT of digging in trying to find quality setups that will dramatically improve my Stangs performance. This is a way of trying to compile some of that info I've found so that you don't have to.
