The Build
It started its life as a Dell OptiPlex. It just so happens it fit under my seat perfectly. I cut a new vent over the processor and added a chrome grill. Then the case was disassembled, taped, and painted a low gloss black.
I cut a slim DVD drive out of an old laptop that no longer worked and replaced the existing CD drive. Then I added two 10 GB and 30 GB hard drives. One for the operating system and one for storage. To add some cooling I added a 1 1/2" fan from a hot swap bay to the inner side of the case to circulate air across the drives. To save room I removed the existing 3.5" floppy drive.
